WHY CHOOSE FRACTIONAL?
Monocle brings together groups of individuals who appreciate the joy and enviable lifestyle of yacht ownership without any of the headaches, responsibilities or the prohibitive cash outlays inherent with yacht ownership. One of the exciting benefits of being a Monocle Fractional owner is the unique opportunity to exchange weeks on other yachts in the fractional program throughout the world. Since most yacht owners only use their vessels three or four weeks a year, fractional ownership has become the perfect choice over sole ownership and is 1/4th the cost of chartering.

OUR PROGRAM:
The purchase price of each yacht is initially divided into 10 shares with each 10% share entitling you to two weeks of use twice a year. You can purchase as many shares as you will use. With the onetime purchase of a share you become a shareholder in the LLC that owns that particular yacht. The group shares in the operating expenses, the use of the yacht, location and all major decisions.

Some yachts offer 5% ownership shares as low as $75,000 with annual expenses of $17,500, while others require a minimum purchase of a 25% share.

Each individual shareholder can sell their share at any time. The majority of the LLC members can vote to sell the whole yacht or trade it in for a newer or larger vessel.

FOR EXAMPLE:
The Motor Yacht CELEBRATION, as seen on the Fleet page of our website, is a 113' 5 stateroom Custom Yacht with a total purchase price of $5M and spends $400,000 annually for her operational costs.

Each 10% share has a purchase price of $500.000

Each 10% shareholder will contribute $40,000 a year toward the total operational expenses. They include crew payroll, insurance, maintenance, etc.

The only other expense is the cost of consumables while aboard for you and your guests. They include food, fuel and dockage, which average $3,000-$5,000 per week depending on the number of guests. There is a no tipping policy.

MONOCLE'S ROLE:
Monocle is the management company for the ownership LLC and is responsible for the scheduling, crew placement, maintenance, daily operations and all financial aspects of the yacht.
